Watching an amazing variety of sharks swim through the Shark Reef aquarium in Mandalay Bay Casino, Las Vegas.
Sitting on the sandy floor of the huge enclosure is a Green Sawfish, a facinating endangered species with 24-28 pairs of teeth pointing off both sides of a long saw-like snout. They use this snout like a sword, slashing at their prey.
Predators swimming through the huge Shark Reef enclosure include Sandbar Sharks, Galapagos Sharks, Sandtiger Sharks, Great Barracude, Nurse Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks and Southern Stingrays.
I would return to Shark Reef in a heart beat and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Vegas for a few hours of something completely different.
