So here is the story:
We thought we would make a holiday video asking others to post a video response about how they decorate their trees, houses, doors, windows, etc for the holidays. It seems Brittany and Brianna's pet cat took interest in the Christmas tree and was stealing the Christmas lights and tinsel from the tree. This time the cat thought she was gonna run off with some lights but ended up knocking the tree down on Brittany's little sister Brianna. It scared her more than anything. You may have also seen this video on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Brianna was pretty lucky this time. It could have been tragic. Be careful around things that can fall on you and please keep an eye on small children and pets around electrical products such as lights. The cat took interest in a plush toy penguin ornament and some of the lights that were plugged into the tree. Once the cat was tangled into the wires it was spooked and darted out of the tree causing it to go off balance and fall during the video session. Brianna was not hurt but she was startled and she screamed as she saw the tree and herself was falling in the direction of her cat and of course she did not want to see her poor little pussy cat get hurt. We edited and amplified her screaming to create a more dramatic effect. Keep in mind this video was based on an actual event. No kids, pets, or trees were hurt while making this video.
Those wondering about how the tree was off when the tree was lifted of Brianna. Here is why. The tree was plugged into the receptacle that was about 2 ft from the bottom of the tree where the lights are connected into the tree. Due to the short length of the wire running to the receptacle there was not much room to move the tree far from the wall without an extension cord. When the tree tipped over the wire came out of the receptacle causing the lights to shut off making the tree look plain. Most ornaments were plush, plastic and a few were glass but we had not finished putting them on when the tree fell over.
Behind the scenes of the Christmas Tree tragedy will be posted on our video response channel soon.
Please post a video response and let us know what you do for the holidays.
