  • hi there , i did as you said and worked , but the think is i lost everything i had.

How i can get back my old stuff ? please help thanks

  • @lecrooket In the video I said to make sure everything is backed up... check with an Apple store or data recovery center. I will add a textual warning to the video to emphasize that hitting the erase button will erase your hard drive just like it says...

  • i want o reformat my macbook air like new?can u please give me the complete procedure?pls..pls.//thanks..

  • @carenarmillo1 that is what the video is for...

  • When I restarted it after putting the disk.,. It said os x cannot be installed on this computer ... Is that just because I have the wrong disk?

  • @slyballer12 are you installing it on a pc?

  • How in hells name should I restore it and reinstall mac os x? I've already tried to boot a burned copy of the Mac OS X Lion retail DVD, neither holding "c" or "opt" during startup helped? What the heck should i do? Is this because of the burned disc, do I need a original Install Disc 1?

  • I have a problem: I formatted the hard drive in disc utilities, just like you did ine the vid. But instead of going back and hit install Mac OS X I restarted the computer. Why? Dunno.

When i tried to start it I heard the chime and the grey screen appeared, and after a while the blinking question mark came up. Means that the computer cant find the operative system mac os x, because I accidentally erased it.

  • Would I be able to restore my Mac from a backup I made in super duper after I reinstall snow leopard or by using the disk utility on the installation disk? I'm new to formatting/installing/partitioning so I'm trying to be safe. This is mainly so I can try boot camp again, it told me to format my disk, restore the data then try again. Or are there easier ways?
