A prismatic and probing exploration of our world, what's wrong with it, and what we can do to make it better, represents Tom Shadyac's first foray into non-fiction following a career as one of Hollywood's leading comedy practitioners, with such successful titles as "Ace Ventura," "Liar Liar," and "Bruce Almighty" to his credit. I AM recounts what happened to the filmmaker after a cycling accident left him incapacitated, possibly for good. Though he ultimately recovered, he emerged a changed man. Disillusioned with life on the A-list, he sold his house, moved to a mobile home community, and decided to start life anew.

Can't wait for this film to hit Aussie shores! Thankyou Tom for sharing your journey of discovery with us. I truly believe that if we were all thinking along this wavelength the majority of the world's problems (symptoms of the deeper problem as you say!) would gradually dissolve. Only issue is some of us have to do far greater spiritual work than others to 'be' on this wavelength. But good on you for prompting others to awaken to the call and look within. Knowledge is essential for change!!

@danijeelm8, I know but it is always refreshing to be reminded of our other options. Is not like we can change the world in one day, but we can start to be less negative and more helpful toward others. Is about believing that we can make the world a better place, somehow before is too late. It is a badly needed message for our times. Giving up is the easy way out , really.
