  • hey i took aprt a cobalt and it has 2 timing chains. the 1 doesnt do anything at all what could it be for i was thinking for balance

  • @MrLj410 some engines have a timing belt or chain and a ballancer belt to stop vibration.

  • I've heard that a 6.0 powerstroke doesnt have a timing belt or chain. Is this true?

  • @kyfordfan they have chains.

  • @scottykilmer ouch~ well the belt snapped at a red light.at least i wasn't at high speed.

    I guess its a gamble.

  • My flexhead ratchet w/ the long handle was my most favorite commonly-used tool back when I was a mechanic. Great vid! :)

    I was wondering why a mechanic asks you that amount of money for an operation which looks quite simple? (just for my curiosity ;) )

  • sohc motors are too easy, though a dohc is not hard either. This was a great video. Though it doesn't work for everything, its great for getting an idea of what's going on, props.
