This is my second video of me Ice Skating at Kendall Ice Arena here in Miami FL... I go there almost every Friday on night sessions because there is music and a DJ - which I only love when they play techno music / and sometimes Saturdays and Sundays which is less crowded... Hopefully, you enjoy watching this video, cause I think is the best ice skating video I have done so far!! - Yeah.. like I told you on my last video: Now you can see me with my RED LED Lights on my skates... I have already used them for a few sessions before, and that is why you can see that my right skate LED batteries are starting to die out; that means $8 more I have to spend and all the trouble of unrolling the batteries out from the tape!! If any of you ask how I put my lights on!! I will be greatful to provide you with some hints and the materials I used and where I bought the parts!! - but that is only if you ask me, now that I see there are many ice skates with lights out there, but they don't explain how you attach them.. NOW, you can SUBSCRIBE to my channel if you like, I may put more videos from time to time!!! - One more time.. Thanks for Watching!!! and share and rate my video as many times as you want!!!
Here is a list of links for the places where you can get the things needed to customize your hockey skates like mine!! -
First of all you need the LED lights!!
You can find these on your local ("Advance Auto Parts" /or/ "Auto Zone") like I did!!! which are usually ment for use in cars & motorcycles but that is where a small effort needs to be done in order to accomodate them propperly on your skates and that is where the batteries come in place - in the case of cars, they already include batteries... but you need to buy two small 23A 12Volt Batteries with battery holders in which to place them and two small switches to turn the lights on and off if you don't want to be removing the batteries everytime you skate, and that is where the soldering iron comes in place, because the switches are really small, and just turning a cable around them may not work..
But you can also try to order them online through this website I found which has almost everything you may need:
http://www.oznium.com
You need:
1. Two Flexible LED light strips (waterproof) length depends on you (I have two 12"inch strips on each of my skates).
2. Two 23A 12V batteries (you can buy them on "RadioShack"). (Remember: this batteries are really small [don't think they are big, for those of you that don't know])
3. Two 23A 12V battery holders.
...This is the website where you can buy the Battery Holder for you to put the 23A 12V batteries on:

4. Two small SWITCHES (you can buy them on "RadioShack") - that way you can turn your lights ON/OFF. (there are many switches to choose from) mine look similar to this and they are about 1/2in big:

5. Soldering iron and electrical tape.
6. Two plastic straps - in which you will be mounting everything on it, if you don't want to attach them directly to your skates; one for each skate - here is a picture in case you don't know but make sure you buy a bigger one as long as it fits your skate lenght of the blade holder
