Son House talked about people grinnin in your face and then talking about you behind your back. Howlin Wolf didn't do know grinnin in his face. He told him as a friend to his face what he thought about him. I can't believe Wolf didn't have love for Son House.

fuckin....shit that's the truth man...
If you watch the full video, you'll note that Son House is talking through Howlin' Wolf's performance. Wolf got deeply philosophical with him and, I think, walked the fine line between arguing with a fool and trying to help.

From what I biographically understand about him, Howlin Wolf was a fully authentic person, he spoke truth, sang truth, played truth. I don't think he would have called Son House out unless he felt it to be necessary truth at that moment in time. Wolf was one of the more financially and personally successful great bluesmen later in life, he knew what he was talking about. I think everything that ever came out of Howlin Wolf's mouth, publically, was intentionally and thought out.
