Still working on lighting issues, but I wanted to give an update on the progress we have made on the gaming table for our upcoming huge battle. The majority of the scenery is in place and the table is beginning to take shape. We still have several larger buildings to build and place, but most are done. 90% of the scenery is primed black, while a little of it is painted. We are debating weather to push off painting it all for a later date and just get on with the game. I know it would look better playign the game and doing the battle report on a fully painted up table, but there is a ton of scenery and it will take a long time to get everything painted. That, and after all of this prep work, we are getting very antsy to start killing things.

  • omfg mageknight castles!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @smacky101 Yeah, we had a set of them laying around. They make better terrain for fantasy, but its better than nothing. Makes a nice little divider wall that is funneling traffic into the gauntlet of the road. It is serving its purpose quite well so far this game.

  • that is so great how long it take you to make im so entriged

  • It took us about 2 months to go from our initial idea to having enough scenery built to fill our table. The table is made up of two 12'x4' tables, with a 3' gap in between. there is a 3' wide and a 4' wide bridge spanning the gap to connect the tables.

  • I think we could have done a little better with the roads and things, but the idea was to keep everything modular so that if can be taken apart or switched around for other games.

I would love to detail all of the buildings, add some sand and flock to the bases and some highlight painting here and there. We built so many so quickly though that, even if I was to complete a couple a day, it would still take forever, lol. I plan on working on some here and there though, but it will ready in time.
