Hundreds of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan befriend animals in the war zone to help themselves cope with the hardship and terror they face every day. Since it is against regulations for active duty troops to befriend animals or transport one on a military flight, the ability for our soldiers to save their best friends alone is slim to none. SPCA International (www.SPCAI.org) has been working to safely transport U.S. troops animals home from the war zone since 2007 through the Operation Baghdad Pups program.

  • I just adopted and brought home a dog from the streets of Bangkok. We bonded with him on a job and brought him back to health. He was days from death when we found him. We knew if we left him on the streets that he would die. So we decided to do something about it... after the long list we had to follow, we got him home with the selfless help of about 10 people.

That's all it takes!! Like Virtual Billy said, get of your ass and do something about it! This applies to anything in life!!

  • This is why I love America.

  • Lets Bring those dogs home!!!!!!!

  • great story:)

  • Terri: You're the best!! Bravo!
