Harnessing. Oozies sculpturing logs. Elephants dragging logs on land and water. Dragging in tandem. Dropping log from height to river. Constructing a temporary bridge. Plight of oozies/loggers--dangers and starvation wages, chronic malaria, biting ants. This plight leads to occasional cruelty and injuries to the elephants. Training of young elephants. Part 6 of 16 segments of an elephant research film taking place in the Detroit Zoo and, mostly, in three logging camps in the Burmese jungle. The film focuses on the daily lives, logging, behavior, and cognition of Asian elephants.
