Todays pop country sucks. I remember when country was outlaw... Not perfect hair and "metro" singers. Another thing, to all the K mart cowboys out there. Just because you got a cowboy hat, some wal mart boots, and a four wheel drive doesnt mean your country strong. Just go back to listening to your fall out boy or linkin park. Leave the dive bars and mudd holes to us.

I think Start the Car was a pretty descent song.

@justinruns You Shouldn't say "Travis don't do it like Hank" until you see em Perform together!
I saw Bocephus, T.T. and CharlieDaniels outside.
Travis had People tearing down the Fences. The Man definitely puts some Drive in the Country!

This reminds me of my old man and myself comin home from florida to MD!!! : ): )
How in the world did he get kicked off his label?
I guess people would rather listen to Kenny Chesney than Travis Tritt. Yeah, Travis dont do it like Hank, but it's way better than the Chesney/McGraw/Rascall Flatts scene that is Nashville today.

Travis was never kicked off any of his labels. He retired from Warner Brothers is 1998 or so and then returned to Sony Columbia in 2000 then after a few years there he signs with Category 5. Sadly people in Nashville don't appreciate the music Travis brings and because he doesn't conform to the "new" country music. I like a lot of the new stuff, but the country music from the 80's-late 90's will always be the best.

@bigdmck01 He supposedly stole a song so he retired to keep from getting kicked from his label. Otherwise I agree with your post.

@JakAss224 Don't know what you're referring to but I've never heard of any such allegation. He retired when "Start The Car" flopped on the Charts. The relationship between Warner and him was already strained, and after the dismal performance of the song, he left.
