  • the Saab dealer replaced some of the sensors on the wheels and so far I haven't had the problem this snow season ...... yet. I'm trying hard to believe they got the problem licked, but then again I'm counting down the days until I can get rid of this car too!

  • thats what you get for spinning your tires too much in the snow, it turns off esp/tcs. so in other words, your fault.

  • and your filming on your phone so you went through all the trouble of getting your phone out and starting the video camera to complain about how unsafe you are... fucking BRILLIANT

  • Neither is a Jetta, or a Focus, or a C class merc, or a ... (any better) Electronics suck across the board, but yes the 9-3 is extremely complex. 30 (yes 30) computers in an aero automatic.

  • I had the same in my 2006 93. They said it was a steering column sensor. It was replaced a few weeks ago and hasn't came back since. They had to reprogram both keys.

  • the stability control sensor comes on in most cases when one of your shocks is out... happened to me and i replaced them, no problems now!

  • Sorry to hear that. 2003 was the first year of that Saab design and it has a multitude of electrical problems. I own the same car but 2006 in Connecticut, and it is great in the snow and no problems - with 46,000 on the car. First year is not a good thing for almost any brand. My 2003 Honda Accord is a first year and I blew my transmission at 20,000. It went again at 85,000 this past week - both replaced under warranty. On any first year, buyer beware!

  • Damn 9-3 saabs. This is part of the reason I only worked on them for four years. Something goes wrong with the instrument cluster whole car dies. Lose one damn wheel speed sensor loose all traction control and speedo input. In the old convertables the top control module could kill the whole car. POS. Saaburu's not any better.

  • that is a horrible night to not have those systems...however they don't help you stock. TC=helps you go when you lose traction. SC= sliding out/skidding

  • its a a gremlin, you know Saab's are made in TROLLhaggen, or W/e. this is what you have to deal with with any euro car, if u cant stand no TC drive slow, or pull off the road if it gets to bad.

    03 Land Rover Discovery

    99 Saab 9-3

    i know the feeling.
