Opening credits of the new NBC crime drama Southland. Set in Los Angeles, the show focuses on the lives of police on and off the job. All rights are property of NBC Universal, John Wells Productions, and Warner Brothers. This is posted under United States fair use laws for criticism and comment of fans and non-fans alike. The series was created by Ann Biderman (an NYPD Blue writer), and produced by John Wells (ER, Third Watch) and Christopher Chulack (ER, Third Watch).

  • @Pirat12 The picture is of Ed Davis, former LAPD chief. The picture shown is based on a black and white picture of him which underwent some photo process (which sorry I cant recall the name for it) that makes it look vintage , older and darker. Wish I could post the link for you but I cant find it anymore. I did download the black and white picture which is the exact same picture shown in the opening theme. If anyone finds it, please post link, looking for better resolution

  • Yea it's Dulce Pontes - Canção do mar, but this version is slightly different - it seems stripped of the vocals. Personally I like this instrumental version better.
