Great Blue Heron Rookery

The Richmond Photography Meetup Group went on an outing to photograph a great blue herons (Ardea herodias) rookery on an island in the James River in downtown Richmond. I shot plenty of still photos, and tried to get some video with my Kodak Zi8. The Zi8 could not zoom in as much as I would like, and -- even with the camera mounted on a tripod -- the wind created just enough vibration to keep me from getting a decent shot. Still, what I have seems interesting enough for me. (The stills will be better.)
