@xathanaric Don't talk shit, there are many people from among Jews and Muslims who are cruel, filthy and disgusting to animals, but the truth is that Islam (and I think Judaism too) advocates for love, mercy, compassion and kindness to animals. They are to be fed water before slaughter and killed in the least painful way, on their own free will, meaning if they resist in any way or are afraid, they are to be released.
The worst cruelty is in western abattoirs:

Halal, when done properly, is the more humane slaughter method.

@k1zzl3 no... if you think about it... what if humans were put in a machine where their arms and legs were clamped down and their neck was pushed up then someone comes in with a knife and slits their throat and they painfully die. well were lucky that is doesnt... oh but animals arent.

I saw a video of an Australian slaughterhouse where the cow was dead in 2 seconds after the cut.
The guy in this video must have gotten sloppy.
