Noooo! They've turned it into a sickeningly-sweet Disney movie!

I actually worked on this pilot a little bit. Would you be surprised to learn John Woo directed this?

Why does Hollywood insist on Making Remakes? Doesn't anyone in that debauched town have any Original Ideas?

It is a pilot; A dress rehearsal for something that could have been; A mock up. Just like a concept vehicle seen at an auto show.

I think many parts of the pilot were rather clumsily shot and/or poorly acted, but overall I see great promise for the vision that was displayed.
But when you have a big budget you can re-shoot scenes with corrected perspectives, and actors presenting improved performances. From the extravagance of the sets and CGI though, I suspect in the end they just had to go with the shots they had.
As a fan I would definitely recommend watching it, and lamenting what could have been.
