A test of a proprietary designed muzzle brake versus a standard A1 muzzle brake on AR15 pistols with 11.5" barrels using ammo fed from the same magazine. Both seem to produce muzzle flash.

  • @proswangsta The function of a flash hider is to reduce flash, in all directions, and primarily from the shooter as well as the shootee. A comparative test was not done without any device at all. From my experience with pre-ban guns, the ball of flame would have been very spectacular without any device.

  • The function of that flash hider is to hide the flash from the shooter, not eliminate it. Hard to see the difference though.
