I don't like it when clarinetist play these wonderful modern pieces, get a great sound, beautiful interpretation and then set the clarinet back a hundred years by squeaking and scooping and sliding like a bad Klesmer clarinet.

Dear saxoclar,
I also find it uncomfortable to hear someone crying when comes from deep in the gut. The scooping sliding is a crying and wailng over unnecessary destruction of something dear and beautiful. Hence the name 'caoine'. Thanks for listening.
