Halloween is rolling around once more! We start the month with a visit to a carnival... A creepy abandoned one where the guests are permanent residents.
Carnival of Souls follows the lone survivor of a car wreck as she struggles to re-make her life only to slowly suspect it isn't her life at all. Living on borrowed time - or is it stolen time?
Coupled with Blue Oyster Cult's "Joan Crawford", an opus to opened graves and the insanity of hubris that knowledge can bring, our Heroine discovers just where the line between the living and the dead is drawn.
The movie is in so-so shape, mainly pixeling and bad contrast, but those flaws sort of add a creepy air to the low budget ghoul makeup and odd effects.
The performance is by Stratos, and if it sounds like we were having too much fun covering the BOC classic, that's because we were.
You can get the movie at the Internet Archive, of course, to enjoy with your Halloween creepfest.

So many B.O.C. songs make great covers and this is one of them.
