Sheet music: free, on my website: http://sebastianwolff.info/news/2010/04/professor-laytons-theme-curious-village/

This performance was long overdue. I arranged this by request about 2 years ago. Anyhow, here it is: Professor Layton's Theme, the title theme from the first game in the series, Professor Layton and the Curious Village (レイトン教授と不思議な町). The soundtrack was composed by Tomohito Nishiura (西浦 智仁). The song and game belong to Nintendo.

  • Hi I got the score for your arrangement but it seems impossible to play on the left hand and I can tell that you're playing different to the score here. Is it okay if you could fix it?

  • @cokeisgood111 There's a lot of jumping around the left hand has to do. But yes, I improvised a little bit, and actually used the ensemble sheet music and read my way through all the instruments, and just pulled the parts I needed for the piano :)

  • DOCTOR? DOCTOR!!!???!!! A TRUE GENTLEMAN NEVER CALLS A PROFESSOR DOCTOR. only joking you are amazing :D

  • ummm...how do you play the left hand? My hands aren't that big... Is there another way to do it instead of jumping like crazy? Could I have a tip? XD

  • trop bien !!!

  • GermanSeabass. I have seen your face.

  • This is an amazing cover, and I just wanted to say thanks for providing the sheet music! I did have one question concerning the fingering for the left hand in the beginning of the piece. Is there a good position for the left hand as it's jumping between the chords and the single notes? I'm trying to find something that works, but any advice you could provide would be helpful, thanks!

  • Tu vas légèrement trop vite, mais à part ça, c'est vraiment très bien joué !

Ton interprétation est magistrale. Félicitations !

And now... I try to say it in English...

You play this music a little too fast, but excepted this, it's really fantastic ! Your interpretation is masterful. Congratulations !
