@mynameistyler1 Hey, I'm active duty Air Force right now thinking about going through prep school and academy after I finish tech school. What is prep school and academy like?

@ColorfulEarth show leadership potential, join jrotc, stay in volved in extracurricular activities, and do AP courses or regular in physics, chem bio, comp. and calculus, try to get A's and B's, if there's an IB program in your area, you'll have open oppurtunities for it, but little social life, it's rigorous, but it'll help. Good luck, I'm a sophmore in high school, trying now, oh, and work on your upper body too, a lot, the physical is pretty intense.

I got in with a 27 on my ACTs. You do not have to go to summer seminar and you dont have to take pilot lessons if you want to be a pilot. A pilot's license really doesnt mean anything during your career at the Air Force Academy.

I'm 13, and I want to get in there so bad...
I have good leadership skills, and am planning to go for student council all my high school years. I am in track, and progressing each day. I have decent grades, and I'm planning to keep it that way forever. I know I'm young and naive, but I'm positive I am committed. Any advice?
Academy is not about fun, it's about honor and perserverance. Save the fun for later!
Good luck!

get straight A's, at least a 31 on the ACT or just as good of a score on the SAT. Attend the Summer Seminar your junior year, if you want to be a pilot, start saving up money for pilot lessons. Also, learn to put yourself under pressure.
