Father Sofian Boaghiu of Antim Monastery Bucharest was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor in 1958 by the communists because he did not want to quit Orthodoxy.

Catholics left us, and after them, the protestants split from them and drifted farther away from the true essence of Christianity, and then the anglicans, penticostals, baptists, etc, etc.... Now there are hundreads or even thousand of so-called "christian churches".Catholics are the origin of all the sects today.

Once again, someone with no experience in the Orthodox faith thinks they know the WAY. Listen to this marvelous man. Do you really hear what he is saying? Sadly you don't hear it and perpetuate the same thing that humanity has done for 2000 years. He who has ears to hear let him hear.

Very interesting and worthwhile video.

At 0:18, Father Sofian Boghiu quotes what Jesus said to His contemporaries which incidently was also something foretold by the prophet Isaiah. Those same words are found in the book of Isaiah 29:13. I mention this because it strikes me as amazing how the Old Testament is truly fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The reason for this is because when I think I am a good Christian, I realize that Father Sofian's words bring us back to reality so I can correct myself.

He looks like a lovely man. The church, though, and the more unchanging and 'orthodox' the more true this is, demonstrates the futility of this religious belief. Two thousand years later, doing the same thing day after day, year after year, century after century, and nothing has changed. Mankind is still separated, shallow, and violent. A definition of insanity is to keep doing the same old thing while expecting different results. Time to acknowledge religion as fairy tales.
