could u explain me why, in the discription, you think a wide turn is an advantage? by that basis a fully-loaded B-17 would be the ultimate fighter.

Run far away from the fight, climb in the 262, level out, turn around to face attacker, dive to get your airspeed from 400 up to an insane 1000, and you come straight head to head on at Aircobra at 1000+ their airspeed closing speed. At that rate of closing, you only have 1 second to fire. To not turn to fight, by fly past him at 1000mph, far away, turn around, and repeat. You engage him at will, and its just about always head on. Fly far away, turn, dive to build up speed, attack, repeat.

Me 262 is superb if it uses the right tactic. I have never been shot down in a Me262 in any online Il-2 game. The only right tactic is Boom and Zoom. High speed, correct prediction, FIRE and fast retreat. Never ever go into turn fight

Actually it "had" a dogifght doctrin. Which involved Zoom attacks, Dive in on fighters, fire cannon and vear way run and climb. Attack in high speed paces and don't get into a turning fight. Strangly much like the dogfight doctrin of the F-86

It needed TWO engines to stay airbourne, those engines were weak, remember!

There were some actualy P-39 killsof 262s if I recall, most likely similar to USAAC kills with P-51s or P-47s jumping the 262s when they were taking off or landing,
