Perth Glory FC is a professional football (soccer) club in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, competing in Australia's top football (soccer) competition the A-League. Perth Glory is one of only three clubs to survive from the now defunct National Soccer League. The other clubs included Adelaide United and the Newcastle Jets.

Velaphi was born and grew up in Perth and is of Zimbabwean and Japanese heritage. He trained at the AIS in Canberra on a football scholarship.

He previously played for Perth SC and had stints at the Newcastle Jets and Queensland Roar, making his A-League debut in Round 20 in the meeting between Queensland Roar and Melbourne Victory at Telstra Dome.

Velaphi has recently re-signed for Perth Glory as their youth marquee player, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2010/2011 season. The 2009/10 season was Tando's best to date, solidifying his spot between the posts and keeping 9 clean sheets over the course of the campaign.
