amazon, south american blackwater biotope part 2

this this the second video of my tank taken a few months after part 1 , the tank is 5'x2'x2' , 125 uk gallons , i change 27 uk gallons of water evry week . stock is... 6 wild caught scalare angels , 3 keyhole cichlids, 2 rams, 3 different pairs of nanacara dwarf cichilds, 12 corydoras julii, 4 royal whiptail catfish, 4 banjo catfish, 1 L18, 1 LDA34 , 1 L002 , 1 L75 , 35black phantom tetras and 35 head and tail light tetras

Awesome tank! When your "topping off" evaporated water, do you use plain water or water with the blackwater mixture? I understand solids don't evaporate soo..

@thealphamale0806 thanks . i only have to top off about 15 liters a week so i just use plain water and add the black water extract after each water change .

Wonderful tank. Might I ask, how are you getting the shimmering light effect? What exactly do you have and how is it set, to provide for the surface and light variations?  Thanks. I"m setting up a 75 gallon.

@dyamarick thanks , i use a 150 watt metal halide light with an old 10000 kelvin bulb which gives the light ripples and the waters surface is moved by the return pump . you also get the light ripples from using LED lights . if you look at my 3rd video of this tank you can sort of see what is going on behind the scenes . thanks
