This is a good WW2 blend, alot of people blend it with something stronger. Personally I smoke it alone in a meerschaum pipe. Not sure why you're down on it. It has great flavor, very mild on heat unless you do two bowls back to back, no tongue bite unless once again you smoke two bowls straight. The only down side is that it will flavor a pipe so one pipe should be designated the maple & rum pipe. As for keeping it lit... that's not bad tobacco, that's bad packing technique.
