  • this is wing chun~not JKD~

  • @wwfnbaifs actually is Jun Fan, I hope you can see the differences...

  • @wwfnbaifs Wing-Chun fighters never stand in that position and never attack from high-to-low angles

  • @desperado32386 thank you for the comment!

  • jkd is more or less bruce lee's take on kung fu. which is basically bruce's take on fighting, which comes from his experience in many things, eg tai chi, wing chun, boxing, and fencing, and probably in that order. it's wrong of people to say that it's "no form". it's all of these. what some see as "formless" is not the flow between them, but the fact that they are all there at the same time, and that is what makes him great. don't assume that knowing nothing is the answer, quite the opposite.

  • @wmc1982 Your right cause M.M.A. Fighters are SO Superior, Right? Clearly, you don't know anything about Martial Arts, your just a M.M.A.Fan Boy. Someone like Chuck Liddell would get out strike, and K.O. easily by a Professional Boxer like Floyd Mayweather Jr. If you honestly put Royce Gracie against Bruce Lee, Lee would finish him off in about 60 seconds. Today M.M.A. Fighter is lousy strike and gay take downs and hold em down til time runs out!

  • what I would give to see actual footage of him in combat with another..

  • MMA is nothing, but glorified wrestling if we want to go there, sure it involves more movement, kicks and punches, but in the end all that happens is they end up hugging the whole fight. Now its not fair to Bruce to say anything about the guy, hes not here today, he cant defend himself nor prove himself to anyone. Bruce has the "art" of the fight, and just judging from videos of his moment you can tell he knew what he was doing.

  • Jeet Kune Do is NOT- I repeat NOT- MMA. Shannon Lee said it HERSELF.

  • @wmc1982 You've got to be one of the most stupidest people on here to think that. MMA is alive today because of Bruce Lee. Learn your history and get your facts straight. If he were alive today, Not anyone from MMA can take him. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be possible to be beaten, But a lot of MMA fighters dont know nowhere near what he knew. Bruce was way ahead of his time. Most MMA fighters on UFC dont kn ow shit like yourself. You should do finger tip push ups and BLOW THESE.....

  • @wwfnbaifs Bruce Lee trained in Wing Chun for a while. He used it until the eventual transition into JKD which, my interpretation is Bruce Lee's take on wing Chun. if you look at his Wing Chun stance, It's too wide and spread apart, almost akin to fencing. He may be using WIng Chun trapping, but this is definately JKD

  • @bhbharris898 Answer about difference between Jun Fan and JKD -- Jun Fan is more or less "Bruce Lee version/expression of Wing Chun" note that Bruce often has his body turned side on even when performing in trapping range - a big no for a lot of Wing Chun people - and then JKD is very much all about fighting as a whole, rather than trying to belong to a particular style - learning about styles is still important in JKD, but Bruce would say don't let it trap you in, be free of its rules.

  • Wasn't Bruce Lee's "martial art's" exposed as fancy moves that wouldn't work against something like Jiu-Jitsu for example? Bruce Lee wouldn't have lasted a minute against 99% of today's MMA fighters.
