I was at home listening to my scanner when i heard that the J was having trouble with the interlocker at Barrington and getting a signal for this guy. I am glad i went out to catch him becasue he had a calf and Wisconsin Central Helpers. Shot on Tuesday Nov 6th 2007 at 12:32pm at Penny Road in Barrington Hills, IL.

  • Nice! So, their r already CN trains on the western sub? fuck.

  • This is usual, there is typically 4 to 5 CN trains up here by me that run on the J. CN acquired trackage rights from the J back in 2000 after they bought WC, so it has nothing to do with the merger.

  • Nice catch was that WC 6005?

  • 6006

  • While people may not like the idea of CN buying out the J, I think of this as the EJ&E expanding by thousands of miles into a larger system. Expect the SD38s to be sent to other parts of the CN system. For example, DMIR 200 was spotted at Edmonton.

Actually, the SD38s would look good running through southern Ontario.

  • Well you might even see more CN on the J now that CN is buying most of the system.
