Me playing The Firefly, by Anton Bilotti. There's a few mistakes in there; but I'd already filmed this like 15 times before getting it even this good. It's hard not to trip over your own fingers at that speed. xD

Oh, and apologies for the terrible video quality; I really need to get a new camera.

Enjoy!

  • At the very end on the left hand, do you play those notes as staccato or what? I'm doing this piece for a competition and am trying to figure out how everyone plays ti so i can have the perfect sound...

  • @lizardoyame If you're referring to the part where both hands start climbing upwards, no, the left hand isn't written as staccato. But it sort of sounds like it just because of how quickly you've got to play the notes. (I'm actually playing it a bit slow here)

If you're talking about the part where the right hand is playing G and F# repeatedly, then mostly yes. The left hand turns staccato when it starts playing continuous eighth notes.

  • Awesome Sauce!
