This is a short clip of one of my voice lessons at URI. The song is Vaghissima Sembianza by Denaudy. I obviously carry loads of tension throughout my upper body that causes me to tighten, lock my knees, turn my body, and sweat while im trying to focus on my technique. Here we try to release some of that tension.

  • Kyle, your former teacher is so right about the breath and pulling down away from the throat. I teach that as well. The breath should relax your tension. If you understand Open throat, then you have the perfect balance for the tone to emit. I love to hear you sing! Divarose

  • Sounds like your teacher knows some things.

  • You're great.
