Its a good skimmer for a 38 gallon tank. If you ever get into corals and fish that skimmer will never keep up.

I am thinking of getting that skimmer. Does it give off microbubbles back into the tank?

@viper1001001 No it has a foam sleeve that removes the bubbles. BUT I have noticed 1 bad thing about this skimmer.... The take up tube is about 2 -3 inches below the surface So unlike an overflow setup it will not pull the floating stuff off the top of the water. I am currently building my own Refugium and have an AquaC EV120 that will go in it. For a starter skimmer it was a good buy.
