The Jehovah Witnesses don't recite the pledge nor do they honor the flag. This has caused them to be sanctioned by other countries in which they reside in. 'and for Richard Sands, one nation, indivisible..." Who is Richard Sands?

Actually the original was palm down and despite the fact that the guy who wrote the pledge was a national socialist Americans had the salute long before those other national socialists.

The words "under God" were officially added to the "Pledge" in June 1954.
