It is good to modernize Cambodia but responsible development is the way to go. Develop to improve living standard for Cambodians. Disregarding the needs of the majority of the population is dangerous for Cambodia. As more people become homeless and landless, the gap between rich and powerful thugs and the majority widened a recipe for political instability or even revolution. Why can't cambodia find a balance so we won't repeat our recent history.

Modern Cambodia is very selfish. The big fish are eating the little ones indiscriminately to satify their infinite hunger for power, wealth, and domination. Land in Cambodia used to be plenty for all to work on and to live, everywhere! Now every centimeter is owned by someone. Some with more authority would own more land. The poors are so desperate but got no helping hand. This type of cycle needs to be terminated now for better and prosper Cambodia.

And when will that be, when our schools and communities are properly funded? Our leaders use foreign aid to buy hookers and fancy houses for their hookers.

So pessimistic, yea Cambodia might developed slower,But face it we recovered from many years of hardship in relation to civil war, once our communities and education is funded,it's future would have a foundation to start being more competitive. Our infrastructure is weak but we got our beautiful natural land and and amazing history, most visitors go to asia to see the ankor wat, and yea the government is so dam corrupt 4 stealing money from tourism. HEY! i've never been der but i LOVE the food=D
