"SHINGO FOREST" ~STAR OCEAN: 2ND STORY~ ORGINAL PS VERSION! An alternate arrangement to the original one I did (see the 1st play version). Sounds somewhat alike, with noticable tweaks made. I do not own this song, though I did arrange it for the piano. Method Used to Learn Song: By Ear. I don't have the sheet music as of yet, but I'm getting around to it. Listen & Comment, thank you!

Mistakes: For once, only 1 mistake around 1:33! =D

  • Well done, deserves a lot more views imo. Learned by ear ey? very impressive. Getting the melodie isn't the hardest it's always the accompanying part that I have trouble with.

    Any tips :P?

  • When you learn by ear, it really just depends on how you listen to and hear different instruments. I'm no expert at all, but I just learn by listening to the basic melody (in this case the right hand) and then the accompanying part (the left hand) can be accomplished by following a repeated beat. You can see that my left hand just follows the same pattern mostly(CGC, DAD & EGE, no flats or sharps here), while the right hand does all the base work. Hope that helps somewhat! ^^

    Best regards~

  • I meant to put EBE* not EGE. lol ^^;

    But in all honesty, I've used those left hand piano notes for not just this song, but the Wild Arms one too. Two different games, but it still works. Thanks again! :)

  • I Like Star Ocean =D

  • Man. One of the best Square-Enix (and of course Tri-Ace) musics ever. I wish I can play pianos as well.
