It's a common misconception that Travis caused the band to go more towards pop than punk, Tom was very controlling and moved the band towards Pop.

If you don't like them well then NO ONE CARES! They make music that sounds good to them not the whiny fans who like blink just be cool and couldn't even name the fucking genre. So get over it, and be happy there playing. If you want them to sound different go make a "hardcore" cover or something like that.
