Hold it, I may have just answered my own question and only been stuck due to temporary mental breakdown....Would you just route the drum sound to an exs aux output, and then insert a pitch shifter 2 plug in and simply automate the cents there as needed?

Hi, many thanks for the wealth of knowledge you're providing....the 2000 page manual wouldn't be the same without you...I had a question I'm not sure if it fits here or in the automation tutorials, but I'm trying to automate fine tune adjustments on my drum sounds for subtle snare and kick variation and a more natural sound. Aside from setting up a new exs24 track for each drum sound and eating up a ton of unneeded CPU, is there an easier way I'm missing to do this? Thanks in advance!

thanks, that's cool

?..I am loading my recycle files into exs24: Instrument-->import recycle
and then selecting mono(to avoid the overlapping sound when played back) and using one-shot to play the entire loop. My problem is when I reload the session again I hear a hissing sound and its not recognizing my exs24 instrument. I am having to go back in and reload the sample into the instrument....Any ideas? Im using Logic Pro 9. Thanks

Yes they are saved for good for use in further projects. I agree these vids are good shit.

Hey, I know I could read the whole handbooks but 1 question: are those groups (samples) I recorded for this Lesson saved for good in Logic or can't I use them in further projects? thanks a lot for your videos, they're great :)
Saaaay, is that a hickey or were you bitten by a hotel rat...... ;)
Jeez, that looked easy...and I bought Redmatica software (just kidding, fantastic apps)
This tutorial opened my eyes to something so obvious and yet eluded me.
I should SING all the odd rhythmic motifs I like to do instead of knocking myself out in the editirs. DOH!!!
Thanks for all your stuff!

Yeah, I should try makeup sometime... but then these videos would require WAY too much in production value.
Is it just me, or was I totally YELLING in this vid? Sorry 'bout that.

Not at all, it sounds fine.
But don't be going 'all hollywood' on us.
;)
Did you get a chance to check out the big museums like the Met, Guggenheim and Natural History?

uh... I walked by the MOMA... does that count?
Honestly, I spent most of my off time in bars, which was a blast. I was mostly there for the people and the food this time around. Got to see the Knitting Factory tho! It was awesome.

Thanx for that great tip!
I'm a sample base hip hop beat maker running a 2gig macbook pro and with logic, Reason and an MPC 1000. I'm planning to get an audio interface soon and i'm wondering what the best choice for me would be? i was leaning towards the motu ultralite. what would you suggest?
Also i have some songs sequenced in my MPC and how would i go about recording the individual tracks in logic without doing it one track at a time to be more efficient. Is that even possible to do?

The MOTU is great.
If you can get multiple outputs out of your MPC, then you can just assign them to inputs on your interface, put a bunch of audio tracks in record and do it all in one pass!
I'm trying to get an MPC in here this week or so. Stay tuned.
