Wow. People are ridiculous. Do you really think your dog even knows what's going on with or without the testicles?! This is just another way for people to humanize their dogs. And another way for men to make people pay attention to their all-important genitalia. God forbid someone think your balls aren't important.

I don't think that it's much of a personality complex that an animal has, but I can see this being used for male dogs in the show ring. Show dogs are checked in the ring to verify that they have both testicles. If the dog has to be neutered due to medical reasons or if the animal is monorchid, I could see some breeders investing in this to keep their dog in the ring.

Personally, I think these are pretty ridiculous, and it goes without saying that they're beyond unnecessary.

However..I support them, to be honest.

Think about it: if it doesn't harm the dog in any way, what's the downside to encouraging people (IE, guys who don't want their dog to lose his "manliness") to get their animals fixed?

If they want to pay that kind of money just so they can claim their dog is an intact male, then what's the harm? That's more responsible than keeping them unaltered.

This is quite interesting. I have a male cat that is fixed. He was fixed before these neuticals were out there. I on the other hand will be quite honest and let all the people out there that I have 1 testicle which is not real! I even got to pick it out and it looks and feels real. You may ask why I have an artificial testicle, well I will make a long story short. I have a friend with kid's and they were getting rough and tumble with me and one jumped right between my legs. Needless to say ouch!
