3-5 years later i am 100% sure that this J-20 program will be terminated by the china air force since they are lack in fund and technical ability. Come on, most of J-20 component are imported from Russia. And i know pretty well even Russia is the best allies of china, Russia always sell OLD CRAP MILITARY HARDWARE TO CHINA. ha ha ha U think russian are stupid by giving chinese a high tech weapon. @anaplastic The question is how hard it is to make a Jet engine, I'd say not very hard. They been making Turbo jets for awhile now, and the Britis give the the technology to make turbo fan "sprey 202". so really just need a little improvement and they can make 5th engine for sure. China always saying that they are bad at everything..really? since when was the last time chinese made a engine exploded like the Indian one for LCA? So, dont underestimate your foe bro.

@anaplastic Idk what u r bullshiting about..in the chinese government published website already stated that J20 was using a modified version of WS-10 called WS-10G which they claim to generate 155kN. Also, you see the chinese J10B is using WS-10 series engine on a single engine plane. that just prove that how reliable chinese already are. make no mistake, they are pretty much equal or better than the F110 by GE.

@anaplastic 3D TVC is not needed, if you have delta canard. Also, TVC will reduce the performance of delta canard. This way this plane can reduce production cost and achieve about the same maneuver ability as f22 but reduce the price to produce a plane. thats why u see even in USA other than F22 everything else does not have TVC. F35B is an exception, because it only points down, it does not increase its maneuverability, it only generate a new kinda of maneuver, like the harrier.

LOL, on a Pakistani forum I read something (I don't know how reliable) like it will have 180kN/120kN w/o afterburner engines,11:1 thrust/weight ratio, 3D TVC nozzle. Well, with these engines even a bus can supercruise. Where did they copy and improve that? From US PW (maybe through Pakistan) or Russia Lulka? I don't believe this is home made, everything else is quite possible, this thing is real hard.

I heard that J20 is only a demonstrator, the production fighter look different from this airframe and sleeker. But it is a great achievement for China's scientists. I think the canard is very challenging for all side stealth capability. J14 is the real pure stealth fighter. J20 is too big for a pure fighter. maybe a multi-role aircraft for long range engagement, especially for Navy strike against Ship thousands of miles away in the sea. The threat for china is from the sea. they know that.
