Set in 1927, "Daisy Pulls it Off" is an affectionate pastiche of the classic girls' school story. Full of slang such as "topping," "jolly," and "scrummy," the play concerns a scholarship girl from a poor family names Daisy Meredith, who attends the exclusive Grangewood School for Girls. The plot involves hidden treasure, a long-lost father, a conceited upper classman and the traditional hockey matches, secret passwords, and dormitory pranks. This snippet shows the director, Debbie de Coudreaux, giving the pre-show speech about turning off cell phones, not taking photos, etc.
