  • Wow, I've never heard this version before. Looks like Freddie learned something keeping his ear to the door of the Pistols recording at Wessex. This is phenomenal!

  • Thanks ;)

  • @johnp5327

    agree 100%

  • please dont mention Queen in the same sentence as the Pistols.Queen are a all time great band with the worlds greatest frontman and the Pistols are a bunch of addict tossers who because of timing were"influential".The fucking sucked. oh,thanks for the upload dany!

  • queen fucking rule

  • @mouloudo Considering that neither of us were at Wessex Studios when both bands were recording their works, all we can do is speculate. DanyrockQueen, if it's not possible to do this, I understand, but is there any way to get my comment so it isn't the first thing people see when they click on this? It's a bit much getting my head bit off by people simply for an observation made. I don't see why people feel the need to get huffy. NEITHER BAND CARES, PEOPLE!

  • @epsteinsmutha1 my point is that Queen dont owe the pistols anything

  • @mouloudo Yes, and your point beyond being overly reactionary is what exactly?

  • @epsteinsmutha1 queen was hard rock even before the sex pistols, that commercial overhyped band, even existed

  • @edusenx That last part of your post was not necessary. While no one in his/her right mind would put Lydon up in the heights of Placido Domingo, Paul Cook learned quite a bit from his hero Paul Thompson of Roxy Music. Ditto for Glen Matlock and his hero Ronnie "Plonk" Lane. And while Jonesy is no Dr. Brian May, that was some pretty decent guitar for when you think about how young he was. Some of the worst musicians ever? That honor would go to the Shaggs.

  • @epsteinsmutha1 This was the common live version of WWRY, they didnt play it live as the record until the 80s.

And Freddie learning anything from the pistols... it wouldnt be learning, it wold be forgetting things. Queen was a heavy rock band, not the wewillrockyou-wearethechampions-iwanttobreakfree band most people know. Remember it when you compare them with some of the worst musicians ever.
