2nd year anniversary at the Mobile Home Urban Homestead - Part 2

It's been two years in June since I bought my old Moby for $800. Now I'm converting it over to a urban homestead, all within the rules of my park and all. We do a lot of gardening and other homesteading things such as simple cooking, canning, and a lot of green things. Trying to live carefully and enjoy life. I hope you'll like how we've progressed in the last year. Part one and two are done, and they are the outside of the moby.

We piled up dirt on the exisiting soil. It was not that good. Very hard, compacted and weedy. So I just added soil from a local composting/yard waste place that grinds a nice blend of soil and compost for $21 a yard. I add my own compost that I make, so I've added a year or so worth of that. I'm a pretty much organic gardener, 80% at least. I did add a couple treatments of an organic garden fertilizer each year. I'd like to be 100% but there were a few bug issues the first year!

very nice. great job on the video. if you ever have a problem with crickets or bugs eating your radishes as they sprout try my water bottle trick in my videos. works great. take care

That is VERY cool! Great job!!! In your south side raised beds did you till up the actual soil or just cover the exsisting soil and bring in new topsoil? IF so, what amendments did you add to it- if any? May God bless your efforts!
