As of 25 Dec. 2011 Dino the passenger in this crash is still alive but in a vegetative state.
I know this because I can see him in his bed when ever I visit the ward he is in at the hospital.
I just today found out this video was on YouTube.

@recce01 According to a comment posted on a forum by his sister Cindy Pugeda, by February 26th, 2010 Dino Pugeda was still in a hospital in a vegetative state. Very Sad indeed.

Sad supposed facts: 1.SCORE officials thought the cage had tubes not strong enough even though they let it in. 2. On course they had a problem with the car and the co-pilot fixed it so they continued, but he didn`t get his helmet well secured. 3. Driver evaded 2 fans in the course...crash. I was where They took first position on race course in Maneadero (20 miles from start)there was a lot of people while all drivers went slow they showed no signs of caution jumping into a big pond passing Coyne

I was at that race. I worked for a competing team at the time. From what I understand the co-driver ended up in a coma. I am not sure what ever happened to him after that. I think his name was Dino. I can just remember Papas and Beer playing this same footage over and over again. It really pissed me off at the time, as none of us knew the extent of their injuries. Hearing all the drunk pricks screaming and laughing about it really tuned me up. Sad day for the sport, but thats racing in Mexico!
