Dog Brothers Full Contact Stick Fighting

I've been a martial arts fan my whole life, and since I've moved to Los Angeles it's like a mecca for martial arts. Marc Denny and Eric Knaus, two of the founding fathers of The Dog Brothers, are full contact stick fighters who have traveled the world in their training and have brought a real world use mentality to Stick Fighting. These guys are the real deal, I had been a fan for years, when I got hired to put together a stick fighting video tape for Dreamworks. The same team that brought you "You Got Served" was going to serve up some pain, with Sticks! If you haven't seen their website, www.dogbrothers.com, go check it out. When the deal went south with Dreamworks, Mark hired me to try to shape up the material for a release or a sale to another movie company. The UFC was getting bigger and bigger, why not join the fun? I haven't seen Mark in years and I don't know what happened to his project, but this stuff is amazing.

Or a shattered Kneecap. I was at one event where the guy took a stick directly to the kneecap, splitting it in two. That was NOT a fun day for that competitor.

everyone has a fucking opinion especially when it comes on the subject of "r e a l i t y "...but noone gets in the fucking circle and fight!

i am sick & tired of people mumbling on how martials arts are tought with zero realism...but when realism strikes them in the face, they go like " omg its too macho, its to brutal, its to extreme"

Guys, i luv ur guts in getting involved wid dis kind of fighting, just like wat we've trained here, except the use of the head gears and other protective materials, we don't use gears so that the combatant wil be forced to weave, dock, and to strongly defend all strikes especially to the head and vital organs, we hav the same line of fighting purpose the ultimate one, but we do it here only to defend ourselves and others. i am so happy to see your vids a good example of strong guts and spirit.

Notice that I didn't use the word "contestant" while you did? That's because I'm not talking about a sport. I merely am contesting using the words "real stick fighting" when referring to the activity that these talented athletes are participating it.

When a single hit to the head can cause death, blindness, paralysis, and brain damage; do you really think that leaping into combat head-first in anyway resembles a real stick fight?

I doubt that the grandmasters of 100 years ago would.

you're a joke, this isnt the days of roman gladiators or musket dueling...you can't even legally challenge a man to a fight on the streets anymore...so please tell me where this stick fighting to the death occurs
