  • I notice that when you put dates for items in your Project list the the items did not re-order by date. So just how are tasks ordered on the list--is there any way to re-order them automatically or manually?

  • You can drag and drop to reorder I just checked. :)

  • Maybe the task didn't show up in the calendar because you had "Google" selected in the calendar view? (Just wondering - not sure.)

  • I just went back and checked. I changed the calendar view to all and it still did not show up. Bummer.

  • maybe thats because you already marked the task as completed

  • I wish that was the case but I have gone back and checked this was not the case. It seems tasks simply do not sync with the calendar. This is surprising to me because Palm has been pushing Synergy so hard. Then again it might just not do it in the emulator.

  • @PalmPreForumDotOrg Is there a way to set tasks to recurring like on WinMo. I'm thinking of switching to the pre very soon...

  • does the pre enable autodial if you have a phone number in your task or in the note in a task?

  • There's a nice view on the Palm OS 'Today' which lists the tasks due 'today' along with scheduled list for the day. I think that's a very handy view.

  • From a GTD perspective, tasks should generally not appear on your calendar as they are not part of the "hard landscape." Rather, items that are really day-specific or time-specific should only annotated as you review active tasks during your weekly review. Not that Palm need subscribe to GTD altogether, but this distinction tends to be prevalent amongst those who manage hundreds of active tasks. Calendar clutter = numbness, mental resistance, mistrust, ultimately disuse altogether.

  • I'd say your only option is to make a calendar entry in that case. That way, it will exist in the cloud via Google Calendar, you can embed it in Gmail and Netvibes, and share it in Exchange.

  • yes and no i think.... some tasks are just that... task. but others can be important milestones that you do not want to miss, and having it shown on the calendar would be definitely useful. for example, if you had multiple legal paperwork with important deadlines, you'd want to make sure you don't miss those dates.

i hope palm is reading this and perhaps offer an all on/off toggle to include task with due dates in the calendar. or, single-task override to include in the calendar.

  • Tasks != Calendar. Who wants their groceries in their calendar?

  • How did you get the emulator on your mac is it available for pc?
