@kkly27 Please ask Dr. Hannibal Lector. Phychos do claim they're just behaving like one of natures beasts. Dogs are bred from grey wolves and they think you as one of the pack. Of course they're faithful. That's different than distinctions of your daughter from others child who innocently picked a fight with your daughter without noticing your dog near by. Do you doubt that what so ever now?

@dokkiro Dogs are NOTHING like humans. Please read up on biology!!! I'm very sorry for the loss of the child that you mentioned, I really, really am, but the dog in question would of had no realisation of the consequences of his or her actions. German Shepherd dogs are one of the most faithful (and easiest to train) breeds of dog you can get. Mine would fight to the death to save my daughter, or any of us, from any psycho out there - NO DOUBT what so ever!

@kkly27 I disagree dogs are just like humans and some dogs are crazy psychotic. Long ago back in the early 70s this German shepard killed and ate 1 year old infant who would've been a brother of my friend. Do you know other dogs that instinctively kills and eat babies besides our politicians? I wouldn't have any problem gunning them down.

@dokkiro You make no sence. When humans are cruel they do it on purpose. Animals have no concept of cruelty. They behave instinctively. 9 times out of 10 a dog that attacks a human or another animal does so because its owner has no idea how to control it or they maltreat it or they goad it into acting like that.

@summerturner8 Very true in cases of dogs. Owners are the very reflections of dogs behaviors. Cats however will not think twice about eating you if you had a heart attack and died. As a matter fact they day dream about eating you while licking your ear wax.
