Catherine Zeta-Jones is trending on news that she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The 41-year-old actress, best known for her roles in Chicago and Ocean's Twelve, has checked into an undisclosed facility for treatment. Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is characterized by swings between depressive episodes and euphoria and is often triggered by prolonged stress. Zeta-Jones' husband, Michael Douglas, has been receiving treatment for stage-four throat cancer, though he announced in January that he is now cancer-free. Bipolar disorder can be treated with medication and therapy, and Zeta-Jones plans to continue in her two films scheduled for release in 2012.

Some of you are imbiciles. If you don't have a condition, you know nothing about it. But you are indded stupid. Do you really feel personally challenged if someone is diagnosed with a condition you don't have? Does it make you feel left out? I think then you have the terrible affliction of inferiority complex.

The victim is always the last to know. We all knew she was mad from the git-go. Nearly every crazy beautiful woman is, well, crazy. If she would like, I will gladly trade MY tortured mind for her poor state. Really, though, depression does suck no matter what ones position. It is a problem that you can't just throw money at. PS- Have you met Bob Dobbs?

Really sad, Lady. Why use this? Even if you have it, millions of low income people have it, too and all their lives. Here's an idea: use your money to help bipolar people and their cause. HEY?

@RickMoonbeam “Bi-polar disorder” is just a cover up for binge drinking and that’s all it is. Take a look at ANY manic-depressive” with your blinkers off and that is what you will find and this junk science dross is dished out by the medical profession.

Welcome to the real word Miss Zita Jones. It hurts! Don’t cop out though by calling your problems an “illness”. If you can’t face life without drinking and smoking therein lays the problem in that you personally can’t face up to things. Paying big bucks to some cranky clinic to be told what you want to hear will only make matters worse.
