@Cathain78 ... hes just letting him go

@ihmfq Other situations than fights per se lead to wrist grabbing. I'm thinking about violence escalation. A bigger dude may happen to.

@ihmfq People get their wrists grabbed dude! Even when ur trying to escape someone will grab ur wrist, sleeve, foot or whatever to try to prevent u from getting away. U end up in that position basically because ur trying to run away and an attacker will simply grab whatever he can to prevent u from running. So instead of having to drag this guy and letting him slow u down, lock him, throw him and then resume ur escape.

@Cathain78 & buddies,
spin and drop is the movement in the training to avoid and absorb
the chin-na's injury, if the master does not release to let go the spin and drop but instead hold his Chin-Na firmly as to exert full injury to the point of stroke where how much power is produced

@Cathain78 no no just cleaning the carpet

@ihmfq What you have to understand is that these are fundamental techniques, they can be applied to more practical attacks, but you must be able to learn the basics and understand the techniques in order to know how to apply them.

you'd be amazed how often an opponent grabs your arm or wrist.
Is he using chin na to basically throw and spin the opponent on the floor? Seems like a strange use, when it's generally developed to lock and restrain.
