@mike7ace not similar lift... for bench press, you are using most of your upper body to push the weight... for jerking, you dont really use your uppper body to push the wiehgt... you use your leg drive mainly, the upper body is only for stabilizing the weight in a locked position... but yeah Dimas is super strong....

@Zooguido true... powerlifters need power as well, but on competition day it is their "maximal strength" is put to test. and similarly for weightlifters, they need brute strength too.. but that alone will not suffice... they need speed and technique....
-
@therockana not true. look at your typical West-Side template. see all the speed-strength work in there done between 40-60% of 1RM? yep. that's called dynamic effort work. powerlifters do it.
-
wow... look how fast he moves... such that the powder from his hands take a longer time to fall? -WOAH!!!
-
powerlifters use brute/raw strength..... weightlifters need power ie strength+speed
-
dont compare powerlifters to pro weightlifters...weightlifters are 2 times stronger...

@dsquaredmlg They can displace 1000lbs about a foot in the squat. Way different that putting it in the air.

I swear the only place I have found ego/testosterone driven comments that are worse than these is when hanging out with a bunch of guitar players
whats impressive is the fact that at around 185 lbs he can c&j 474LBS 7ft in the air, while power lifters weighing 300 LBS plus can lift 400LBS 4 inches of their chest

lol, an average 185lbs person shits himself if he can deadlift 474lbs, yet this guy puts it over his head....
