The thing is, I agree that there are way too many subgenres and it has gotten out of control, but certain key subgenres do help to differentiate certain bands from others. The people that are saying fuck it all its all just metal are really really retarded. It ISN'T all just metal lol there is a huge difference between metal/alternative and deathcore/technical. If everyone could keep it to this: Metal(heavy), Deathcore, Technical, Progressive, Grindcore and Experimental I would be happy

@JukemNukem88 the thing is its way more complicated then that, those few genres are, very limiting, when i think of heavy metal i think of judas priest not something like skeletonwitch or vital remains. I agree that the sub genre's have gotten ridiculous but they are necessary in many ways cuz music has changed very much

@slaytera364 ... i never said they were deathcore i said they were technical deathcore just like horishima will burn and many other similar sounding technical deathcore bands i do like these guys alot and there are death metal bands with breakdowns it's called "slamming brutal death metal" straight death metal does not have breakdowns and yes to a certain degree genres need to be established so you don't end up listening to metalcore when you like goregrind (both forms of metal) understand?

@7dayspking i saw them live too and no offense man but u sound retarded to not call them metal. u think they are a deathcore band because they have a couple breakdowns per song?? some death metal bands have many breakdowns man, its all metal though i really dont understand why the genre is so important to you. its just a different type of metal, (who cares?)
