I remember when this ad first ran. I'm not a big NDP fan, but I got a kick out of this and I was hoping he'd get back in, and he did. It really gives you a sign of how poorly things were going at the time that a member of the old guard coming back was actually a good thing. Ed should run again!

Man, this ad is priceless... I only discovered it today, when trying to find a quote of Ed Bradbent on CBC News saying that in the 1980's, pierre trudeau had invited him into a Liberal-NDP coalition to promote the NEP (National Energy Plan), but Broadbent refused

socialist a strong word for ed. he loves capitalism as a way of life, but recognizes that it leaves millions, and i do mean millions, behind. that's really the whole point of the ndp, looking out for those that capitalism ignores. and yes, there will be a new democratic pm in the next 15 years

i'll make it happen. the liberal party is dying, as is the bloc, the conservitives will never appeal to much of canada, and the NDP's platform is rock solid.
